Will you stay or will you go...
Heaven knows what my future holds...
Questions linger on my mind...
From daybreak til dark of night...
I don't know what's come over me...
Can't you see that I'm falling...
Girl, I'm falling for you...
LEE DONGHAE
"I told you to trust me, right?"
Althea blushed after hearing what I said. She really looked cute. She tried to stand up on her own and let go of my hug. I laughed at her attempt to break free but fail as she keeps on falling.
"Hey, relax..." I told her. "If you keep on struggling, you won't learn for sure." I held out both my hands for her to hold on to. She held them and supported her weight. "Try to fall on your own..."
"What?" she asked, confused.
I smiled at her. "It is important for you to realize that falling is good so that you can be confident in getting up again."
"Is that so? Okay..." she let go of my hands and fell down purposely. Then I instructed her on how to stand up and she did. I was happy to see that my new student learns fast. I taught her how to glide and move forward properly. She was doing it slowly but surely. In almost an hour, she was able to glide on her own. She looked so happy to be able to learn it finally and has been skating on her own.
"You're a fast learner!" I shouted at her as she was already on the other side of the rink.
She smiled at me. "Of course, I'm smart!" She continued skating and went near me. "Teacher, kamsahamnida!" She bowed and smiled at me. I felt my heart skipped a beat.
I never thought I could really fall for her. I mean, she's simple, pretty, smart and fun to be with but she's not my ideal type who is girly and mature. She is very far from Eunseo. Now, everytime I see her smile, it's like I wanted the time to stop. I would do my best to protect this girl and I would do anything to be with her.
"You're very welcome. So you think you are already good at this?" I asked her.
"Well, I'm confident!" she said.
"Then I shouldn't be able to catch you, should I?" I said. She got what I meant and glided away from me. I started to skate after her and she increased her speed. It was fun chasing after her but a few minutes later, her speed was too fast that she lost control and unable to stop. She was heading to the rails and was already panicking. I rushed towards her and pulled her into a backhug.
I could hear both our hearts beating fast. I could hear her breathing fast. That was close.
"Are you okay?" I asked Althea. She was pale. I guided her out of the rink and let her sit on a bench. I sat beside her. She took off her skates and closed her eyes. I felt guilty on what happened. "I'm so sorry..."
She opened her eyes and looked at me. "No, no. It's not your fault! Just let me calm down." She took a deep breath. I knew she got scared. I kept looking at her as she tried to relax herself.
"Okay. I'm fine now," she finally said.
"That's good. Let's get out of here then," I told her. She looked at me confused.
"Why? Aren't we going to continue ice skating?" she asked. I told her that it would be better to go somewhere else. We returned our jackets and shoes and went out of the hall. "So where are we going?"
I couldn't answer her because I didn't know what to do next. I originally planned to do ice skating until lunchtime but because of what happened, I was afraid of her getting into a real accident because of me. "I don't know," was all I could say.
I'm such a failure. I thought.
She looked at me. "Let me decide then," she said as if she knew that I was feeling guilty of what happened. She started walking ahead of me and urging me to follow her. I followed her obediently, still thinking where she was heading to. We reached deck three and she entered the art and photo gallery.
So this was where she wanted to go. I thought. I entered the gallery and saw displays from various artists. There were so many paintings, sculptures and photography displayed. Most of them were abstract and I stopped to each of them, trying to understand the meaning implied by the artist. I was seriously analyzing a certain painting when Althea stood beside me. I haven't noticed her until she talked to me.
"So you're into arts?" she asked.
"Not really. I'm just wondering what this painting's meaning is. Do you know? I bet you're into the arts since you brought me here."
She chuckled. "Me? Into the arts? I just went here since we both didn't know where to go to."
"You're weird," I told her. She just smiled at me. We continued to look at various displays. We shared our opinions on each masterpiece. She really is a smart girl, giving good ideas on each display although she kept on saying that she has no talent in art. I enjoyed being with her. I love talking to her about random things and having fun in anything that we do. I love being with her.
And I think I'm really falling for her...
When it was about lunch time, we decided to leave the gallery. We went to the Vivaldi dining hall on the same deck. After having out lunch, Althea ordered for ice cream.
"Ice cream is love!" she said.
Now, I know she loves ice cream. She kept on licking her ice cream as I ate mine while looking at her. She was very amusing to look at. I kept on staring at her until she realized what I was doing. "Why are you looking at me? Do I have dirt on my face?"
"None. It's just that you look cute eating that ice cream," I told her.
I saw her blush after hearing my statement. I kept on staring at her as she avoided eye contact and continued eating her ice cream. "What do you want to do after this?"
"I don't know. I want to rest. Maybe I'll just take a nap."
"Hey, you'll leave me? Don't do that!"
She finished her ice cream before talking to me.
"Why are you like that? Aren't you tired?" she asked.
"I don't wanna be lonely." I said, trying to be cute to her. But I guess, it was not effective. She was laughing at me. "If you're going to sleep, then I'll sleep with you."
She almost got choked up with my statement.
"What?!" she exclaimed.
