Chapter 22 - Thunder

Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other
You'll always be my thunder and I say
You're eyes shone the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain...

KEVIN CHANG

I haven't seen Althea since yesterday. Since she told me she loves Donghae.

I couldn't forget her face. It was the first time I've seen her worried and angry at the same time. I've always seen her happy face. There were also times when I saw her in deep thoughts like she's having some problems yet she pretended she was okay. But yesterday, her expression was pure and honest.

I couldn't even sleep well last night thinking about her. I realized I just couldn't have her.
I looked for her since this morning because I wanted to talk to her - and Donghae. I saw them finally at the florist shop at deck 11. Althea was looking at various floral displays while Donghae was following her. She looked stunning in her dress. She was very beautiful. Seeing her like that makes things more painful and difficult.

"Hi Althea," I greeted her. "Hello Donghae."

I saw Donghae held Althea's hand and tightened his grip.

"Can I talk with you?" I told Donghae. He looked at Althea and she smiled at him. He let go of her hand and walked outside with me.

"What do you want to talk about?" he asked me.

"I give up. You won. She's yours," I said it straight. He didn't respond. "Well, I knew it from the start, that she loves you, yet I didn't accept it. I chose not to believe. But now, I know only you can make her happy."

"Thank you," he said and held out his hand for a handshake. I shook his hand.

"You must promise me one thing. Don't hurt her."

"Of course."

"If you do, I swear to God I'll take her back and would never let her go."

"That would never happen."

We headed back to the shop and Althea was looking at the blue roses. She smiled when she saw me.

"I hope we can still be friends, Althea," I said as I approached her.

"Of course," she said.

"Thanks. Don't be sad again, okay?"

She smiled and I hugged her tight for the last time.

"Bye Althea. I hope to see you again."

Yes, I really hope to see you again. Even in the next lifetime, I wish you could be mine...

ALTHEA RYZ FAJARDO

Kevin is a nice guy. I'm sure of that.

I watched Kevin leave and I felt knew it was not easy for him. But I'm sure he can get through this.

Donghae held my hand. He kept his other hand hidden. He smiled at me sweetly as if he's hiding something at his back.

"What are you hiding?" I asked him.

He revealed his secret and handed me a blue rose. He smiled like a child.

"I got this for you. It seems you like blue roses," he said.

How can you be so sweet Lee Donghae? I thought. "Yeah. Blue roses are really beautiful. Thank you very much!"

"Of course, always for you," he said. "Wait, can we make this day our anniversary?"

He cares about anniversaries? I thought only girls do that.

"Sure. I never thought you would care about dates," I said.

"Of course I do! I always want to celebrate special occasions. I always make sure I could greet the members on their birthdays and we usually celebrate our anniversary no matter how hectic our schedule is."

"I see," I told him. "Thanks alot... for everything."

"Hey, have you packed your things yet?" he asked.

"Not yet," I confessed.

"Would you like me to help you?"

"Sure!"

We headed to my cabin. I was kinda embarrassed to let him in because I'm not really that tidy.

"Woah, I really thought your cabin would be... arranged. I remembered the first time we met, you left my room clean." I glared at him. "It's alright babe." He chuckled and kissed my forehead.

He was not kidding. My place was not really like a lady's den. I picked all my clothes on the floor and the ones inside my bathroom. I got my travel bag and folded my clothes. He arranged my bed and laughed suddenly. I wondered what was funny then he gave me my underwear.

Aish! I shouldn't have let you in! This is too embarrassing!

I got it and kept my head down as I placed my clothes inside several zip-locks, arranging them properly. After about an hour of arranging my stuff inside my traveling bag like an obsessive-compulsive person, I rested and looked at the pictures in my digital camera. It showed everything in my travel. There were pictures of beautiful scenery from various excursions. There were pictures of Kevin and me. There were pictures of Donghae and me. Majority of them are, of course, my selcas. Donghae looked at them with me and laughed at some hilarious photos of him.

"If I sell your pictures, I could get alot of money!" I joked.

"Don't you dare," he warned. I laughed at his reaction. If I did that, his reputation would be over.

It was already nighttime when we finished packing my things. I never knew I brought this many. I guess it became difficult to pack again because all my things were all around my room.

Donghae called for dinner at my room because we both became lazy in going down. We were sitting on the couch talking about our trip.

"I couldn't forget how we met," he said and stroked my hair. I laughed at the thought.

"Don't remind me about that," I said.

"Why? I would never forget that night. It was so funny though."

"Stop reminiscing about it."

He laughed at my expression. He touched my nose. "You are really funny and cute."

The doorbell rang. Our dinner has arrived. I got it since I own the cabin.

We had dinner in my room. Donghae dimmed the lights.

"This seems like a candlelight dinner, eh? So romantic," he said.

"There are no candles Hae."

"Let's just pretend, okay?"

I laughed at his fail. We started eating and chatting just about anything. It was a sumptuous dinner shared by the two of us. I had fun talking with him and laughing at him. I got to know him more as he shared his past experiences at work, especially the funny ones. He even shared about his family and his dad. He was really talkative unlike those videos I've seen in the past wherein he doesn't speak that much. I realized he was the type of person who would really open up once he trusts someone.

We finished our food after about an hour since of our chit-chats. We cleaned our trash and sat on the couch again to continue our talk. He was really comfortable in talking about just anything in his life. It was like he did all the talk and I listened. It was fine with me because I, myself, wanted to know more about the man behind Super Junior Lee Donghae.

When it was already late at night, I asked him if he would stay or go back to his suite.

"Can I stay here?" he said.

"Sure. But can you wait for a while, I just need to freshen up. You can read some magazines so that you wouldn't bored."

I rushed to get my towel and got inside the bathroom. As I was about to close the door, it was blocked by a hand.

"Can I shower with you?" Donghae said and smirked.

Uh-oh...
